Presentation: Challenges of implementing IFRS at State-owned Enterprises

On 6 December, PwC Academy delivered an open presentation dedicated to the challenges of implementing International Financial Reporting Standards at state-owned enterprises. The event was supported by the Commercial Department of the UK Embassy in Ukraine. Together with CEOs, Chief Accountants, CFOs and Financial Controllers involved in the event, we addressed the following issues:
- Are state-owned enterprises ready for reporting under IFRS?
- What competencies and skills are required for IFRS professionals?
- What elements can guarantee a successful transition to IFRS?
Among the speakers were Lyudmyla Pakhucha, Assurance Partner, Illia Taran, Assurance Director, Rebecca Loughna, First Secretary of the UK Embassy in Ukraine and Kateryna Rafalska, Representative from the National Securities and Stock Market Commission.
