The PwC International Basketball Tournament (IBT) has grown into a global event that PwCers eagerly anticipate. This past July, the tournament was held in Prague, Czech Republic, where Team USA remained undefeated in the knockout rounds and ultimately brought home the gold trophy. Team USA, comprised of 15 players/coaches, had the opportunity to connect with PwCers from UK, Poland, Switzerland, Germany, Latvia, Italy, Greece, Croatia and Hungary during the course of the tournament, fostering relationships that will undoubtedly benefit the players and the firm in the future.
Dimitri Christopher, one of Team USA’s coaches and seasoned players, commended the team for “not only displaying exceptional skill on the court, but also having exemplary conduct when participating in all the activities during their time in Prague. They all demonstrated the sportsmanship, integrity and respect that align perfectly with the principles we uphold as a firm.”
The annual IBT isn’t just a game—it’s an investment in our collective relationships across the PwC network, an experience for our professionals to see all the different types of work we do globally and an opportunity for those with less international exposure to expand their global acumen.
