Matt Wood has joined PwC as US and Global Commercial Technology & Innovation Officer. Most recently at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Matt brings a wealth of experience, having spent the last 15 years working across industries. At AWS, he accelerated innovation in the cloud and developed major new areas of innovation using data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Prior to joining Amazon, Matt completed his Ph.D. in machine learning and a post-doc in bioinformatics at Weill-Cornell Medicine in NYC. He will be instrumental in refining and accelerating PwC’s commercial technology strategy to deliver the solutions of today and the next generation solutions of tomorrow.
"I am excited to join PwC to lead its technology and innovation strategy. Throughout my career, I’ve seen the transformative impact of AI, data, and cloud technologies on industries ranging from finance to healthcare. PwC’s commitment to leveraging these capabilities to address complex business challenges and drive meaningful change is truly inspiring. I look forward to working with our clients and internal teams to help them transform, reinvent and get ready to harness the power of what comes next," said Wood.
