PwC Climbs 30+ Spots on Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For®

As the world changes at an unprecedented pace, we know our people can thrive when their daily experience matches what they value and makes them happy—meaningful relationships, a varied workload, support for flexibility and a sense of purpose and belonging. Additionally, consumers, customers and stakeholders overwhelmingly agree that organizations continue to have a responsibility to build trust among diverse and disparate audiences.

With all this disruption, how did PwC rise over 30 spots on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list?

Coming in at #30, PwC achieved its highest position in 6 years on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® list by continuing to foster a culture of listening, care and belonging that is grounded in a tech-enabled, data-led approach. We know that our ability to help our clients build trust and deliver sustained outcomes is reliant on the power of our people. With a focus on well-being, total rewards, development and connection to the firm, our strategy is enabling us to meet the needs of both our people and our clients.

90 percent of employees said that PwC is a Great Place to Work, compared to an average of 57 percent of employees at other companies surveyed.

We received improved scores around workplace experience, flexibility and our commitment to our people. Our expanded firm benefits, new programs and commitment to build upon our culture of belonging supported PwC’s increase, including:

  • Mental Health: Doubled the number of free visits with a mental health professional from 6 to 12 annually and increased the reimbursement amount for out-of-network mental health support from 70 percent to 90 percent
  • Sabbatical program: Offered employees up to 6 months off, while still receiving 20 percent of their pay
  • Parental leave policy: Expanded from 8 to 12 weeks, providing additional time for parents to bond with their newborn, newly adopted or foster care child. Parents can also take an additional 4 weeks of phased return to work, allowing them to work a reduced 60 percent schedule, while still being paid their regular base pay.
  • Inclusion Networks: Launched an Inter-belief Inclusion Network with Christian, Hindu, Jewish and Muslim subchapters. This is in addition to our 11 Inclusion Networks that are a trusted space for 20,000+ people.

“This prestigious ranking demonstrates that a purpose-driven strategy is essential in today’s ever-changing environment and critical to building a workplace that centers on our people,” said Yolanda Seals-Coffield, PwC’s US Chief People Officer. “To build on our rise, we will continue to curate a workplace where our people can be their best selves, feel a sense of belonging and live their purpose–all while driving value. Seeing such positive data from our people tells us our strategy is the right one.”

Through My+, the employee experience at PwC will transform over the next three years by moving toward a future where we increase our emphasis on growth and development, customize our rewards and benefits, further stitch well-being into our daily experiences and provide flexibility to support our people as their lives and needs shift. Our investments will support this shift by providing the tools, technologies and talent needed to reimagine our business and deliver increased value.
