Dear Friends in Academia,

This month we are proud to announce our new Operating Committee, taking office on July 1, 2024, and our recent recognitions by Fortune and LinkedIn. We outline some ideas for your feedback on resources to help raise awareness and interest in accounting. We spotlight skills for today’s aspiring accountants and how PwC empowers new associates through our two-year program Thrive. In addition, you can watch how PwC is working together with TED asking the big questions about AI and see how we are putting AI in the hands of our people. CPAs can take on more impactful responsibilities early in their careers, apply a deep and digital skillset, and are at the forefront of analyzing complex data. Today’s accountants work in diverse teams and use innovative technology. Thrive with Confidence: Empowering New Associates through our Two-Year Program

PwC’s Thrive program, launched in 2020, is an innovative experience that provides support to new Black and Latino/Hispanic associates in the first two years of their careers through mentorship, intentional two-way learning and opportunities for participants to connect and grow together. AI is rapidly impacting the ways in which we interact, create, work, run our businesses and our homes. This moment needs bold leadership, thoughtful examination and fearlessness to ask hard questions. As the Strategic AI Partner at TED2024, PwC is working together with TED to ask these questions and unlock the potential of AI to create real value for businesses, individuals and our wider societies.
