Akram is a Manager on PwC’s UK tax desk in New York, having been assigned from PwC’s Energy and Infrastructure tax team in the UK. He is responsible for advising the US firm and their clients on UK tax matters and linking in with the PwC UK firm as appropriate.
Akram’s areas of expertise include advising clients on UK and international tax issues including deal related structuring, debt issuances, legal entity rationalizations and general transaction tax support including due diligence and SPA reviews. Akram’s industry focus is primarily clients in the energy and shipping space.
Akram holds a Bachelors of International Finance from the University of Dundee and is a Chartered Accountant (Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland) and an International Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (ADIT).
