Kevin Brown

Principal, Tax Controversy and Regulatory Services Leader, PwC US

Kevin Brown is a principal and leader of PwC’s Tax Controversy and Regulatory Services practice. In this role, he represents clients in a broad range of matters, including IRS audits, appeals, and obtaining administrative guidance. In particular, he has helped a number of companies enter into pre-filing agreements — thereby affording them certainty that their return positions will not be subject to later challenge on audit.

Kevin joined PwC after several notable professional roles, including Acting Commissioner of the IRS, where he managed over 100,000 employees and was responsible for a budget of $12 billion. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of the American Red Cross. Kevin earned his B.A. from Hamilton College and his J.D. from Boston College Law School. He is a member of the Massachusetts and District of Columbia Bar Associations.
