Li Zhu is an International Tax Services Partner specializing in the Financial Services industry. She works with various multinational companies as well as high profile financial institutions such as private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, sovereign wealth funds, fund of funds, mutual funds and insurance companies. She focuses her efforts on the US international tax compliance and consulting, managing the US tax filings for various clients. Given the complexity and uncertainty of international taxation rules in complex structures, she advises her clients not only on their transactional work, but also involved with the day to day tax consulting and compliance. Her dedicated attention and in-depth knowledge in this area helps her clients to navigate the myriad of tax challenges in cross-boarder transactions in order to help manage compliance risks and potentially enhance returns for the clients.
Li earned her Bachelor and Master degree in Philosophy from Peking University (China) and her Master of Accounting/MBA from Northeastern University. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Massachusetts and a member of both the American Institute of CPAs and the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
