Michael Burak

Michael is a Tax Partner in the Industry Services Tax practice of PwC’s New York Metro tax practice and leads our US Inbound Services practice for Tax, Advisory and Assurance services.  Over Mike’s career, he has focused his efforts working with global consumer, industrial products & services companies. 

For twenty-nine years, Michael has closely collaborated with multinational senior executives in connection with a myriad of complex business, policy, cash optimization, technology, controversy and risk management matters.  Michael is widely recognized for bringing his extensive business, industry and tax knowledge to his clients in a passionate and practical manner. 

During his career, Michael has provided key solutions to industrial, pharmaceutical and consumer product clients based upon his strong understanding and knowledge of client business and industry challenges.  Several areas in which Michael has helped to deliver and provide solutions include:  global tax planning; supply chain transformation;  tax function ERP implementation; ASC 740/IAS 12 income tax accounting, and federal tax legislative matters. 

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Maryland and New Jersey Societies of Certified Public Accountants.  

Michael graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland with a BS in Accounting.
