Qiang Ma

Dr. Qiang Ma Managing Director in the National Economics and Statistics (NES) group of PwC's Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice. In this role, he works with clients to estimate the budgetary impact of proposed legislation and assists clients with the design of legislative proposals that recognize budgetary consequences.  He is responsible for studies that describe the economic and distributional impacts and consequences of legislative proposals, as well as studies that quantify the economic footprint of a company or industry in terms of employment and other economic indicators at the national and sub-national level.

Prior to joining PwC in 1996, Qiang served as an economist at the Inter-industry Economic Research Fund (I.E.R.F.), where he developed a multisectoral bilateral trade model for its current international forecasting system. He received his Ph.D. in Economics and his B.A. in Economics (Honors), magna cum laude, from the University of Maryland, College Park.
