Sriram (Sri) is a partner on secondment from India to the International Tax Services team with PwC in New York. As part of his responsibilities, Sri leads the India Desk of the firm in New York.
Sri has over 15 years’ experience in professional service firms in India and the UK. He has advised multinationals and domestic companies across sectors including Technology, Retail, Manufacturing, Industrial Products, Engineering and Construction, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Start-ups. His clients have included US, UK, European and Asian multinational companies. He has worked on projects involving cross-border investment and financing structures, business re-organization and restructuring, M&A strategy and planning, tax treaty planning and tax risk management. Sri has also assisted several of his clients on litigation matters relating to Indian taxes, including representation with legal counsel before Indian courts (including the Supreme Court of India).
Prior to joining PwC in 2014, Sri worked with Arthur Andersen and EY in Mumbai. Sri had an international stint with EY in London, where he led EY's ITS India desk,. Sri was also chosen to work closely as a part of EY’s EMEIA Tax Leadership team on strategic initiatives in the EMEIA region.
Sri holds a graduate degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and is a Chartered Accountant. His personal interests include lawn tennis, foreign language films and he is learning the piano.
