Scott Thompson

Scott Thompson is based in the Washington, D.C. Metro office. Scott's extensive industry and client knowledge stems from his experience serving some of the firm’s largest A&D clients. He is an author of several A&D whitepapers and articles, and is a regular contributor to Aviation Week. Scott's range of experience includes strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), operational improvement and compliance. He frequently acts as Quality Review Partner or consults on M&A engagements. He also has significant experience with government contracting regulations and compliance.

In his role as the A&D assurance leader, Scott has responsibility for audit quality and service to A&D clients. Scott's A&D experience covers financial reporting and disclosure requirements, internal control and implementation of SOX 404, coordination of large multinational audit engagements, business combinations and merger integration, corporate governance and employee benefits including pensions and OPEBs.

Scott has also led the development of PwC's comprehensive A&D industry financial reporting training and our Aerospace & Defense Academy program.
