What was the challenge?

“Our legacy process created longer wait times to register patients for home care. This slowed down the care delivery timeline and created various challenges for our administrative team. In response, we set out to improve the patient experience by automating the registration process. Our goal was to minimize delays, restructure processes to make decisions as early in the referral process as possible, improve the quality of the data, reduce errors and free up our team's capacity.”

“ASHN’s deep knowledge of cloud architecture and PwC’s experience in Workato helped us analyze our business use cases and develop a solution using AWS and Workato APIs and functions. Together, we created a modern web and mobile registration portal using advanced cloud services, then established seamless data flows among our various systems. Workato’s prebuilt, ready-to-use technology connectors helped us unify information across the business, including automated eligibility verification systems and clinical history processing, without disrupting day-to-day operations. The integrations are scalable, reusable and adaptable for future enhancements. PwC also helped us improve real-time and batch solutions, automating audit report generation for improved governance and management."
