Attila Gaspardy

Attila Gaspardy is a manager in the Indirect Tax Services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office.
Attila provides advice, interpretation and technical solutions to both residents and non-residents on the Goods and Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax (GST/HST), the Quebec Sales Tax (QST), provincial sales tax (PST), value-added tax (VAT), and other commodity tax matters. Attila is a member of the VAT Solutions Group, a group of professionals located across the country providing VAT support to Canadian businesses.
Attila conducts reviews of indirect tax compliance, and also assists in audit preparation and with the appeals process. He focuses on the technology, software, telecommunications, and retail sectors as well as non-profit organizations.
Attila graduated in 1998 from the University of Economics in Budapest, Hungary. After graduation, he joined PwC Hungary’s Tax and Legal Department where he advised national and international clients on VAT, customs and other indirect tax matters. In 2004, Attila joined PwC Canada.
Attila has provided a number of client training sessions and presentations in Hungary and within the PwC network in Central Europe on VAT issues related to Hungary’s accession to the European Union. In 2004, he assisted lawmakers in the preparation of a new EU-harmonized VAT legislation in Hungary.
Attila is a qualified Hungarian tax advisor and was the first country VAT contact for Hungary at PwC.
