Barbara Elliott

Barbara Elliott is a partner in the Audit and Assurance Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP working in the Toronto office. She’s a member of the asset management audit practice.
Barb began her career in the financial services audit practice, where she spent several years providing audit services to a wide range of financial institutions and public companies. Through the banking and capital markets audit practice, she transferred to the Australian firm where she spent more than three years providing auditing and advisory services to financial institutions. On returning to Toronto, Barb joined the regulatory advisory practice where she provided consulting services on regulatory matters to major banks, broker dealers, fund managers and public companies. She transferred back into the asset management audit practice in 2008 and was appointed associate partner on July 1, 2011.
Barb graduated with a BA (Honours) in Economics and Math from the University of Western Ontario in London in 1990 and obtained her CA designation in 1993.
Over the past decade, Barbara has spoken at a number of industry courses regarding compliance issues and Sarbanes-Oxley.
Barb’s currently the chair of the board of the North York Women’s Shelter and is active in volunteering. She’s an avid swimmer and enjoys all outdoor activities. Barb lives in Thornhill with her husband, two sons and three dogs.
