Dean Walton

Dean Walton is a partner in the Tax Services practice and specializes in retail, consumer and industrial products (manufacturing and distribution) and services companies. His current and former clients include multinational and private organizations.
Dean has extensive experience in Canadian corporate and cross border tax issues including general Canadian corporate income tax advice, corporate reorganizations, corporate dispositions and divestitures. He also advises on corporate acquisitions, partnership issues, structuring and financing inbound investment into Canada, income tax compliance and tax audit defence and support.
Dean joined our Auckland, New Zealand office in 1991 and moved to Toronto in 1995. He is a designated Chartered Accountant (New Zealand) and earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University in New Zealand. Dean has presented on taxation matters on numerous occasions and has been a tutor for the CICA In-Depth Tax course.
