Heather is a leader in transforming government service and operations. She helps governments in Canada to achieve desired policy outcomes, modernize the delivery of services and benefits to Canadians, and implement digital operations and operating models.
Heather’s career history includes over 20 years of experience working with senior executives and leaders on large transformation programmes and projects focused on modernizing business operations and building leadership teams. Her consulting background includes leadership positions with PwC and IBM where she led practices in business and digital transformation, operations strategy, e-business, change management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Throughout her career, she has been engaged in many initiatives that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of programs and services that help the most vulnerable in our society—including the unemployed, those living in poverty, seniors, those with disabilities, youth at risk and Indigenous Peoples - and the competitiveness of industry.
She is currently the lead relationship partner for a number of federal government departments that include the Canada Revenue Agency; Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada; Environment and Climate Change Canada; Energy and Natural Resources Canada; Fisheries and Oceans Canada; and Agriculture and Agri-food Canada. Heather brings the strength of PwC and its alliances to these departments, with a focus on building trust and delivering positive, sustained outcomes for society, including those related to climate and environmental sustainability.
Heather has experience working within government for Agriculture and Agri-food Canada and was involved in building the business case and implementing the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
She has a B.Sc. in agriculture business and an M.Sc. in agricultural economics, and enjoys spending time with her two daughters and playing the piano and drums.
