James leads PwC’s Government and Public Sector Technology Strategy & Transformation team in Western Canada and has 20 years of experience working on strategy-through-execution initiatives to enable business led, experience focused, technology enabled outcomes for organizations across the globe. James specializes in bringing a design-thinking mindset to digital strategy, optimizing organizations’ IT function and capabilities, delivering large complex transformation programs, and the leadership and development of multi-disciplined teams.
James consistently delivers exceptional outcomes, and using a co-creation approach helps CIOs and business leaders navigate technology complexity, and align business goals with technology investment to drive value for both customers and the back-office. Recently, James has worked with a number of Ministries, Crown Corporations and private enterprises in Canada to assist them with developing digital strategies (focusing on cloud, AI, data, and sustainability), designing the way they deliver services to their customers, and planning and executing transformation programs to achieve their business objectives.
Prior to joining PwC, James had a successful career as a Signals Officer in the Australian Army where he led soldiers on multiple operational deployments across the Pacific and Middle East regions. During his military career, James built up a wealth of leadership, project management, technology innovation, and operations experience having planned, designed, implemented, and managed critical technology services and infrastructure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments in support of operations both nationally and abroad.
