Lana Paton is the Vice-Chair and Managing Partner of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and South Western Ontario (SWO) region, and a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) at PwC Canada (PwC). Lana is the firm’s second female GTA Managing Partner, leading PwC’s largest Canadian market, managing more than 3,500 professionals and 300 partners, across all key industries.
Prior to taking on this role, Lana was a member of PwC’s Canadian Executive Team (CLT) as the National Managing Partner of Business Units, where she spearheaded client facing business areas for the firm such as Consulting, Tax, Assurance and Deals, while overseeing the people and partner strategy. During her extensive and distinguished career with PwC, Lana also served on the ELT as the Industry Markets Leader and Lead Partner, working with several renowned companies in the mining and utilities industry. Lana was also the firm's first female Tax Leader, as she championed PwC’s award-winning Women in Leadership (WiL) program.
With more than 30 years of experience in the professional services industry, Lana has been recognized as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants (FCPA) of Ontario. This is the highest distinction conferred by the Order of CPA Ontario for individuals with exceptional achievements in their careers and the community. Lana is also a recipient of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 award, presented by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN), and the Hellenic Canadian Board of Trade Business Award.
Lana is a sought-after speaker, an active participant and advocate of diversity and inclusion. She speaks at a variety of key market conferences and events, and is frequently approached by the media to provide insights on topics such as innovation, upskilling, emerging technologies, business transformation, women in leadership, diversity and inclusion and more.
Lana is a Board Member of the Hellenic Heritage Foundation and is actively involved with the Make a Wish Foundation, where she formerly held a Board position. She is also proactively engaged within the Greek Community, providing scholarships to students.
Lana holds her Bachelor of Math degree from the University of Waterloo. She is a Chartered Accountant (CA), Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), and holds certificates in Diversity and Inclusion from e-Cornell and Indigenous Canada from the University of Calgary. Lana is fluent in English and Greek.
