Infrastructure and Transportation Leader, PwC Canada
Mark is a Capital Projects and Infrastructure (CP&I) Partner in the Deals practice of PwC Canada, leading the Ontario CP&I team. Mark is also the Global Client Partner for the World Bank Group.
Prior to relocating to Canada, Mark worked in the assurance , transaction services and litigation support practices in the UK before moving to Singapore where he led PwC’s Asia-Pacific CP&I Network.
Mark has over 25 years of experience in structuring infrastructure projects that straddle the complex interface between public and private sectors. He has been key to the development of various governments’ infrastructure policies and regulatory frameworks, client infrastructure investment strategies, project structures, risk allocation and mitigation strategies and the related funding solutions for both public and private sector clients, across various jurisdictions across our global network.
Mark has experience working with clients across many industries and sectors including; energy (power generation, renewable energy and energy transition), waste management, transport (rail, road, ports, airports and transit oriented developments), logistics, stadiums and event facilities, defence equipment and accommodation, hospitals and hospital equipment, education facilities, water and wastewater.
Mark graduated from Stellenbosch University with an undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce and a post graduate Honors degree in financial management and accounting. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
