Mike Harris leads the Risk Assurance Services practice in British Columbia. He has 35 years of consulting experience in helping management and boards succeed by developing better business strategies and helping them develop a  better understanding and response to the risks and uncertainties they face, particularly with respect to ESG.  

Mike has worked with a wide range of clients nationally and globally including those in the financial services, resources, retail, technology and telecommunications sectors.  He has worked with clients in the public and private sectors, including large publics and privately owned enterprises.  

Mike is passionate about ESG and especially enjoys helping clients navigate these complex issues of today - from strategy to execution to reporting and assurance.  He leads the ESG practice for Canada and PwC’s Net Zero Initiative which he regularly shares with clients as an example to them how they can best implement their strategies.  

Mike is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant, a Certified Internal Auditor and an accredited director with the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada. His board positions include Chair of the PwC Canada Partnership Board, Scotiabank Contact Photography Festival, Capture Photography Festival, Beth Israel Synagogue, Vice-President Parkinson’s Society of Canada, President Paul Penna School Toronto, Risk Management Committee of York House School, Treasurer of the Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver, Real Estate Development Committee of Jewish Federation of Toronto.
