Monica Sharma
Partner, Canadian Research and Development Tax Credits (SR&ED) and Incentives (Tax LOS), PwC Canada
Monica is a partner in PwC’s national Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax practice based out of our Toronto office. She has been at PwC Canada for 18 years, specializing in Canadian tax and SR&ED for the past 16 years.
Monica is committed to people development and leads the national people and communications strategy for our SR&ED practice and continues to be involved in market initiatives. Monica is also the co-chair of a national leadership training and development program for directors across all lines of service. As part of this role she co-creates content, facilitates sessions and mentors senior staff members.
Monica advises on SR&ED and has extensive experience with significant SR&ED mandates in a variety of industries. She has helped businesses including large electricity transmission / distribution companies, multinationals who supply construction materials, pharmaceutical and IT/software development companies.
Monica is an avid presenter and most recently led a financial breakout session at a joint Canada Revenue Agency CPA Canada conference that took place in Calgary in November of 2023. She continues to be passionate about knowledge sharing and helping solve her client's most important problems.
