Naren Kalyanaraman is an accomplished business technology consultant with extensive experience in advising Canadian, US and global financial services clients. He has served many global institutions on addressing cyber and fraud risk issues, arising from breaches, regulatory criticism, and modernization needs. He also serves on the board for UNICEF Canada.
Naren has advised on key regulations including OCC Heightened Standards, FDIC ANPR, FFIEC CAT and Handbooks, NYS DFS Part 500, MAS, HKMA, JFSA, OSFI and CSA. He has recently assisted multiple large financial institutions in establishing a second line of defense for technology and cyber risk management by leveraging US and global regulatory guidance (OCC Heightened Standards).
Additionally, Naren specializes in communicating to boards and executives on cyber risk. His accomplishments include leading the strategy and design of a Financial Crimes Unit (FCU) for multiple large Canadian, US and Global Banks to integrate functions such as Fraud, Cyber, Corporate Security, Insider Threat, etc.
