Paula is the National Leader for PwC Canada’s Financial Services Digital Operations Capability, assisting FI’s with operational transformation through digitilization, process improvement and innovative sourcing strategies. She also leads the Regulatory Operations Practice for Canada which assists FI’s with transforming their approach to Risk and Compliance and updating their environments for new Regulatory requirements. She has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a recognized specialist in the Banking Operations and in the Risk and Regulatory domains.
Paula has led multiple initiatives, advising FS clients on how to transform their approach to risk and compliance via the use of business intelligence, analytics, and technology. She leverages leading practices and her significant domain experience to advise clients on how to move towards a more data-driven and dynamic approach to Governance, Risk and Compliance while continuing to meet stringent regulatory requirements. She is a recognized industry expert on first line governance and control functions.
Paula has significant FS Operations transformation experience, advising clients on the formation of Operations Centres of Excellence, appropriate sourcing models and how to increase operational excellence through the deployment of process optimization techniques and technology enablement.
In addition to her PwC responsibilities, she is an active member of the Save the Children Canada Board and is part of the Finance Committee.
