Peter Harris

Peter is an Assurance Partner with PwC Calgary, in the Financial Services Group.
Peter’s experience in the asset management arena has seen him provide services to both private boutique companies and public entities, including investment managers, mutual funds, private equity funds, brokers, real estate funds and pension funds. Peter has worked with clients who report under US GAAP and IFRS.
Peter spent five years with PwC in the Cayman Islands, where his clients were hedge funds and private equity companies in several jurisdictions around the world. As well as leading internal PwC training courses, Peter speaks at PwC organized events in Calgary and is also a member of AIMA (Alternative Investment Management Association), which acts as a promoter and educator of the alternative investment industry. He sits on the Calgary Board of AIMA as Secretary.
Peter is a qualified United Kingdom and Canadian Chartered Accountant and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, and the Alberta Institutes of Chartered Professional Accountants. He also received his BA (HONS) Business Studies at university in the United Kingdom.
