Renee Smith is a Director in PwC’s Legal Business Solutions practice who specializes in helping legal departments and law firms to streamline how they do their work to meet the increasing challenges of the organizations they serve.
For more than 10 years, Renee has been a practicing lawyer, having started her career as litigator appearing in superior and appeal courts and various tribunals then moving into an in-house role for the majority of her professional life. Renee has been a solo in-house counsel, part of a large in-house team doing corporate secretarial work to being on a mid-sized legal team that supported a large organization. Her most recent role has been in the Office of the General Counsel at PwC on the commercial contracting team..
Renee has described her professional goal as ‘improving the practice of law for both lawyers and the people they serve’. Her key areas of focus include:

Legal operations that optimize interactions between the law department and their organization
Leveraging technology to enable lawyers to work to the best of their skill
