Sachin Jayapalan

Sachin is a Managing Director in the PwC Deals practice based in Toronto and leads PwC Canada’s private equity focussed value creation group.
Sachin has 20 years of experience working with clients in Canada, UK, US and India. The majority of his work has been with companies in consumer markets, technology, telecom and pharmaceuticals. He has also held operating leadership roles at private equity run portfolio companies.
Sachin’s specialty is delivering M&A driven business transformations through the deal life-cycle– pre-purchase through to exit. He has helped companies take advantage of M&A events as a means to transform business capabilities. He is adept at working across functional boundaries and cultural differences to get alignment on and deliver against aggressive value targets in a tight timeframe.
Sachin has specialized in delivering complex global carve outs and large profit transformation engagements. He has led large global teams (100+) in delivering multi-year engagements that include: standing up organizations of varying size - Revenues of $100m to $2.5bn and enabling companies to achieve a step change to cost (20%+ reduction) and capabilities (sales productivity, establishing global shared services centers, outsourcing and process automation/technology enablement).
Sachin graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class) from Manchester University where he also completed a Masters in Neural Networks. He is also an MBA Graduate from Ivey Business School.
