Status of file as of October 21, 2024 

On October 21, 2024, the Receiver filed its first court report (the "First Report") to advise the Court of the Receiver’s activities since the granting of the Receivership Order, to seek approval of the proposed sale of the Guardian Building, and to seek approval to make an interim distribution to Canadian Western Bank. The application will be heard on October 30, 2024 at 2 PM MST. A copy of the Receiver's First Report can be found within the Receiver's Report tab.

Status of file as of September 16, 2024 

The Receiver has set a bid deadline for the sale of the Guardian Building. The bid deadline is on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 3:00 PM MST.

Status of file as of June 31, 2024 

The Receiver is pleased to announce that Jones Lang Lasalle Real Estate Services, Inc. (“JLL”) has been engaged to market the property located at 10240 124 St. Edmonton, Alberta (the “Guardian Building”). For any inquiries relating to the sale of the Guardian Building, including but not limited to walk-through requests, please direct them to the JLL team. Contact information are as follows:

On June 5, 2024, an order was granted by the Court of King's Bench of Alberta ("Receivership Order") appointing PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., LIT as receiver of 1643680 Alberta Ltd. ("164 AB"). A copy of the Receivership Order can be accessed under the Court Orders tab of this website.
