Legal Flash: EU adopts Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD or CS3D)
The CSDDD (“Directive (EU) 2024/1760 on corporate sustainability due diligence and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and Regulation (EU) 2023/2859”) which was formally published in the Official Journal of the European Union on July 5th, 2024, and entered into force on July 25th, 2024, will mandate companies to identify, mitigate, and report on the impact of their operations and supply chains on human rights and the environment.
