SME funding: Need for a new architecture

5 November 2015

PwC’s survey estimates that by 2020 the capital needs of small and medium-sized enterprises will amount to €13bn which requires approximately €7bn of equity and “soft” financing. About €9bn will have to be refinanced from banks to give impetus to fatigued SMEs.

  1. Mobilising equity - Entrepreneurial Capital Fund
  2. Borrowing facilitation through better information - “White” Tiresias
  3. Better planning of resource deployment - National Program Coordinator
