My career at PwC started almost 7 years ago, right after graduating and joining the firm's Finance & Corporate Managed Services department as an Associate. During these past years, I've been exposed to a large portfolio of clients, industries and accounting technical engagements, allowing me to grow further on a personal and professional level. I also had the opportunity to spend 14 months overseas on an engagement, allowing me to build face-to-face relationships with the client and their employees.

As a graphic designer within the Marketing & Communications team at PwC Malta, I contribute to the creation of artworks. I consider my role as a great accomplishment as I get the opportunity to work on the visuals of a prestigious international brand. Furthermore, I'm thrilled to be part of a supportive community and dynamic team, engaged in a range of projects, spanning from digital to print media, ensuring each day brings new challenges and excitement.

I joined PwC as an associate in Advisory after completing my Master’s. This role allows me to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during my academic studies while also exposing me to a number of engagements including cost-benefit analysis, assistance with EU funding applications and tender submissions, amongst others. This has helped me extend my knowledge and experience in various fields.

Following the completion of my Master’s, I pursued my interest in corporate finance by joining the Corporate Finance Team within PwC Malta. This has given me the opportunity to work on projects at the various stages of the transaction cycle, including business valuations and financial due diligence. The diverse expertise within the team has been instrumental in broadening my skill set across the board.

My role as a risk management senior associate is to support the partners and staff with several regulatory areas, including Independence, Business Conduct and Ethics. In addition, I am responsible for delivering training and performing a number of controls and testing to monitor and support the Firm’s independence compliance across all lines of service. At PwC, I enjoy having the opportunity to build a network of experienced partners and staff across the firm and being seen as someone who can help staff with complex issues.

As the Senior HR Manager at PwC, I lead a dynamic team to foster a positive, inclusive and productive workplace through strategic HR initiatives. My role involves aligning HR strategies with the goals of the Firm, overseeing recruitment and retention initiatives, developing leaders at all levels, managing the performance management process and promoting employee engagement and wellbeing. I handle complex HR issues with sensitivity and fairness, providing guidance and support to employees and managers alike. My ultimate goal is to create an environment where our people can thrive and contribute their best work.

With over two years in the Risk and Regulation practice at PwC Malta, and backed by my ACCA background, I've gained a range of skills. From Internal Audits to Risk Management, Business Continuity Management and SOX Audits, I had the chance to work on various projects. What I truly enjoy about the job is discovering new industries, understanding new business operations and the continuous learning journey it offers.

I always had a keen interest in being involved in the fight against financial crime. For this reason I started my career at PwC as an internal AML analyst. After some years of working in KYC/AML internally, I wanted to try something new within this field and got the opportunity to move to a consulting team, where I now get to advise clients on their AML framework, AML risk management, as well as carry out independent AML audits.

As a Finance Executive within the Finance team at PwC, I oversee the preparation of management accounts and month-end reporting. Additionally, I am responsible for the preparation of the vat returns, amongst other day to day tasks. Shortly after joining PwC, I started my ACCA studies on a part-time basis, especially thanks to the flexibility provided by PwC, allowing me the opportunity to balance my work and my studies.
