A new digital scheme Digitalise your Business, funded through the Recovery and Resilience Plan, has been launched in January 2024 to support Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Large enterprises in their digitalisation investments and to intensify the digitalisation of operations.

Digitalising operations have various advantages, contributing to different areas of activity.  This includes the optimisation of processes and resources to increase efficiency, the enhancement of customer experience and the possibility to reach new markets, increased efficiency and enhancement of employee services through automation of HR processes, improvement in manufacturing processes through the integration of digital technologies, customisation of services based on client requests through enhanced data accessibility and analysis, the facilitation of customer outreach through digital marketing and online channels, and data-driven insights, amongst others.

In light of the importance for enterprises to digitalise their operations, the Digitalise your Business Grant Scheme supports enterprises through cash grants to part-finance investment in digital technologies and related processes in particular hardware, software and other digital solutions to improve their efficiency, productivity and customer experience.

The grant part-finances eligible costs up to 50% for investments in Malta and 60% for investments in Gozo, capped at a maximum grant value of €120,000 for any eligible investments, with an additional 7% flat rate to finance any indirect costs related to the investment (for a maximum of €128,400). Companies operating within a single group structure may only submit one application under this scheme.

The Digitalise your Business grant scheme is currently open on a first come first serve basis, until 31 December 2024, subject to availability of funds.
