Skills we look for

The PwC Professional focuses on five core attributes: whole leadership, technical capabilities, business acumen, global acumen and relationships.

The PwC Professional leadership framework

The PwC Professional defines the capabilities we look for in order to meet the expectations of our clients, colleagues and communities. The framework is important as it guides our interactions with each other and makes sure we are influencing others in a constructive way that allow us to demonstrate different forms of leadership at various stages of our careers.

The PwC Professional focuses on five core attributes: whole leadership, technical capabilities, business acumen, global acumen and relationships. We use this framework to recruit, develop and assess our people, at all grades and all areas of our business, because we expect all of our people to be leaders.

We know you’ll have different levels of experience depending on where you are in your career. So if you’re a graduate or school leaver just starting out in your career, we’ll be looking for you to provide examples of how you've demonstrated the PwC Professional attributes through your academic studies, extra-curricular activities, hobbies, work experience, or any part-time or full-time jobs you may have held.

What we look for

Here’s what we look for when assessing people against the PwC Professional leadership framework.

If you’re an experienced professional, we’ll be looking for you to provide examples from your career so far, using examples of how your career history aligns to the PwC Professional attributes, and how you can add value to the role you’ve applied to.

Within the PwC Professional framework, there are five attributes:

  • Whole leadership, the ability to lead, to make a difference and deliver results
  • The ability to build genuine, trust-based relationships;
  • Business acumen, the ability to bring business knowledge and awareness
  • Technical and digital capabilities, to deliver quality and value.
  • Global and inclusive mindset that transcends boundaries and embraces diverse perspectives.

The combination of these attributes helps our people bring their best self to work and to inspire their colleagues and clients to do the same. It also means that PwC people will be strongly and uniquely positioned to meet the challenges of the future wherever their careers might lead them.

We need you to lead yourself and others, regardless of your grade, by making a real difference in the work you do. This means delivering results in a responsible, authentic, resilient, inclusive and passionate way.

We ask:

  • Do you learn from your opportunities and take the time to develop your personal approach to work?
  • Do you lead others to be the best they can be, whether you’re part of a team or leading one?
  • Do you act with integrity and uphold professional standards at all times?

We recommend you start your interview preparation well in advance and consider how you can demonstrate each of the five attributes from The PwC Professional framework.

Whatever the role, grade or expertise you bring to PwC, we’ll be looking for people who love making a difference wherever they can, using their technical abilities, and brilliant business acumen. You should have a mind-set that is global, going beyond borders, and know how to build meaningful relationships.

At PwC we’re all different, we're all PwC Professionals – all leaders. And we’re stronger together.

The PwC Professional leadership framework is our global framework for developing leadership at all levels. In fact it plays an important role in the way our people think, learn and develop together and will be a constant feature of your time with us.
