We helped clean windows at the St. Louise de Marillac Shelter and Community Center.
All activities PwC undertakes as a firm or via its staff impact the communities in which we operate. Our responsibility is to ensure our activities help create a strong and prosperous community. Our employees take part in community projects, we foster their concern in people in need, and provide opportunities to help them via PwC.
We provide:
- Pro bono and/or discounted professional services;
- Qualified volunteering – mentoring at DofE, lectures at schools;
- Manual volunteering – every year, we participate in the Our City volunteering project organized by the Pontis Foundation and encourage our employees to take part in other volunteering activities;
- Non-financial ‘in-kind’ donations;
- Collections of clothes and other items; and
- Financial donations.

Our activities
We joined Giving Tuesday Initiative
At PwC, we commemorate Giving Tuesday, a day of generosity, donation, and volunteering, which began in 2012 and is held in more than 150 countries, every year.
PwC donated 145 computers to schools and NPOs
This year, we continued the tradition of donating our notebooks to elementary and secondary schools, by gifting 145 computers and 18 monitors.
Collecting clothes
At spring and autumn collections in 2023, we collected more than 120 boxes of women’s, men’s, and children’s clothes, toiletries, shoes, bed sheets, dishes, and other essentials.
We planted 2,600 trees in 2023
60 colleagues from our office took part in planting trees on three workdays in March, April, and October 2023.
Students from Delta School completed an internship
After successful cooperation last year, we were very pleased to accept again more than 20 students from the Delta Secondary School in Pardubice, the Czech Republic.
Our engagement in mentoring school principals
For the second year, PwC has been engaged in mentoring school principals as part of the DofE’s Diamond Award Project.
Mentoring students in DofE
Four of our colleagues (Adrián Prna, Lucia Korbélyiová, Jana Grošeková and Oľga Matejová) became mentors to eight secondary school students in the 2021/2022 school year.
