2022 Zambia Economic Review

Overview

The state of Zambia’s economy remains an area of great concern for the country’s citizenry and the international community at large. Following Zambia’s sovereign default in November 2020, the country has been in the spotlight; with the actions being taken to restore economic credibility being the subject of intense scrutiny.

Last year was the United Party for National Development’s first full year in office and it was unsurprising that a lot of time and effort was dedicated to restoring Zambia’s macroeconomic stability as well as laying the foundation for renewed economic growth.

Our report presents an analysis of Zambia’s financial performance and position as well as our views on what it means for citizens, businesses and all other interested parties.
