PwC advised the purchase of Qvalitas and Unimed

PwC advised Mehiläinen, the leading private healthcare and social services provider in Finland, that purchases two Estonian private healthcare companies from BaltCap Private Equity Fund II: Qvalitas Arstikeskus, a company providing occupational health and medical services, and Unimed Grupp, a chain of dental clinics. 

Unimed Grupp connects seven dental clinics and three laboratories all over Estonia. The company’s turnover exceeded 22 million euros in 2020.

Qvalitas Arstikeskus provides services of general and specialist doctors and is Estonia’s largest provider of occupational health services. Qvalitas Arstikeskus has eight branches all over Estonia and five medical buses fitted with special equipment. The turnover of the company was close to 8.4 million euros in 2019.

Together with PwC Finland, the deals and tax teams of PwC Estonia performed the financial and tax due diligence of Qvalitas and Unimed and advised Mehiläinen Oy on financial and tax aspects of the sale and purchase agreement. The Estonian team included Teet Tender, Kristjan Jalakas, Hannes Lentsius, Martin Tois, Tanja Kriisa, Martin Lehtis and Klaudia Sarah Kaar.
