Why did you choose to do a STEM degree?
I chose to study a Management Engineering degree as I knew it would enable me to develop strong analytical and quantitative skills. On completion of this, however, I wanted to widen my area of expertise and have a management career path. I attended a PwC Italy career day at University which was very informative and as a result decided to apply for the Edge programme.
Conscious that I didn’t have a financial background, I prepared for my interview by studying key concepts of corporate finance and as a result felt very confident during the technical interview.
What’s it like to work at PwC especially as a woman?
I love the culture of inclusion and flexibility and I haven’t experienced any issues at all by being a woman. I’m working every day with smart, insightful people and I find that stimulating and enjoyable. I would recommend PwC Italy to other women without giving it a second thought.
