Mirko Rapa joined PwC Malta in 2002 after graduating in accountancy at the University of Malta and completing ACCA. He has worked in the international tax department at PwC Berlin. He is currently a council member of the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Malta Institute of Accountants (FIA).
He was admitted to the partnership in July 2014. As a Tax partner and he provides tax advice to a wide and varied portfolio of clients operating in a number of sectors as well as individuals taking up residence in Malta.
He is also involved in the corporate services unit of the firm and provides assistance and advice on accounting and corporate matters. He contributes to fiscal publications in respect of adequate substance requirements, transfers pricing, holding companies, fiscal implications of investing in Malta, exchange of information and setting up business in Malta.
He also lectured in financial reporting and advanced taxation to students preparing for the ACCA, as well as students preparing for the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (CIOT) examinations.
