Asia Pacific Sustainability Outlook 2024 webinar

The Climate Plus Agenda

PwC is pleased to invite you to a webinar that will explore the 2024 sustainability and ESG landscape on Monday, 29 January 2024 at 9.30–11.30am (Bangkok time).

Asia Pacific is the world’s fastest growing region and one of the most important players in the global effort to combat climate change with most of its economies having pledged to net zero or carbon neutrality by 2050. However, it accounts for more than half of the world’s energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, and this is expected to continue to rise as the population and economies continue to grow.

What we are doing today to control emissions is dangerously short of what is required for a safe future. From our 2023 Net Zero Economy Index analysis, Asia Pacific needs to decarbonise six times faster than in 2022. The overall pace of decarbonisation needs to pick up rapidly, marking the need for a new era of significant business, economic and policy transformation.

Panels will explore key topics, including:

  • key trends that will drive the sustainability agenda in 2024
  • implications for Asia Pacific organisations
  • strategies and actions that investors and businesses are taking to address sustainability threats and drive value creation.
