‘Embracing the next era of digitalisation’
BANGKOK, 1 September 2023 – PwC Thailand and Microsoft (Thailand) organised a seminar on ‘Embracing the next era of digitalisation’ on 24 August. (From left) Vilaiporn Taweelappontong, Consulting Leader, PwC Thailand and Financial Services Strategy and Operations Leader, PwC South East Asia Consulting, led a lively conversation with Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director of Microsoft (Thailand), Worachat Luxkanalode, Country Head of Grab Thailand, Thakorn Piyapan, President and acting Chief Retail Banking Officer, TMBThanachart Bank Plc. and Voranuch Dejakaisaya, Executive Chairman, KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG).
The seminar was interactive with the speakers sharing their own experiences and thoughts on digital technology adoption trends in Thai financial services, such as embedded finance and generative AI. This helped the audience understand the potential business opportunities and how to mitigate the risks of digital technologies. The seminar was held at The St. Regis Bangkok and attracted some 70 participants.
