ALERT: PwC Thailand issues warning on investment scams misusing firm’s name
PwC Thailand has recently discovered that the company name, including images and a regulator’s logo, are being falsely used to imply certification by securities authorities for operating as an investment advisory firm. In addition, there is an individual claiming to be an employee of PwC Thailand and inviting people to invest in securities or digital assets.
These fraudulent impersonations are intended to deceive the public into investing money under false pretences. We wish to make it clear that PwC Thailand does not offer any investment products or advisory services related to investments. Additionally, PwC Thailand’s partners and staff are not involved in any promotional activities encouraging investments through online media, messaging apps or other channels.
We urge the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution when approached with investment opportunities and information. Always verify the authenticity of such claims as you may be targeted by scammers who misuse names, agencies, establishments, trademarks, logos or images of executives or personnel without permission.
