Change is everywhere and employees are feeling it

In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, change is not only constant but also accelerating, generating a spectrum of emotions ranging from optimism to uncertainty. CEOs in Thailand are hastily working to reinvent their businesses to become economically viable in the long term. Concurrently, Thai employees are experiencing a blend of excitement and apprehension as they navigate these transformative shifts.

A staggering 90% feel ready to adapt to new ways of working and grow in their roles (vs. Asia Pacific 75%), while more than half (62%) believe there is too much change happening all at once (vs. Asia Pacific 59%). Even though Thai workers are ready to embrace change, they also feel that the pace is accelerating, adding to their concerns. 79% have experienced more changes at work in the past year than in the 12 months prior (vs. Asia Pacific 68%).

The Asia Pacific Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2024 – Thailand Snapshot provides a comprehensive look into the sentiments, challenges and expectations of Thai workers. Conducted by PwC, this survey captures the voices of 1,000 Thai employees, offering valuable insights into their experiences and outlooks in a rapidly changing work environment.

About the Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2024

In March 2024, PwC surveyed 56,600 individuals, including 19,500 in Asia Pacific (with 1,000 Thai respondents) who are in work or active in the labour market. The survey was designed to analyse workers on their sentiments, AI adoption, climate change and skills development.
