AI Act and AI Literacy

A necessary step for a safe and compliant use of AI in your organisation

AI Act and AI Literacy

The AI Act is a key regulatory framework created to ensure AI is developed and used responsibly. It came into force in the EU on 2 August 2024, with AI literacy requirements starting on 2 February 2025. From then, organizations that provide or deploy AI systems must ensure their staff, and anyone involved in AI operations on their behalf, have sufficient AI literacy.

AI literacy is crucial not only for complying with the AI Act but also for enabling individuals to harness AI’s potential responsibly. It helps mitigate risks while aligning with organizational goals and regulatory standards. Diverse stakeholders must undergo AI literacy training and our programs are customized to their technical knowledge, experience, education, and the context in which they use AI systems.

Our approach

Our trainings are developed to cater to a diverse stakeholder audience of different levels of technical expertise and are designed to help participants:

  • Understand the legal requirements on your organisation and how to comply with them in practice,

  • Understand the opportunities and risks of AI systems and how to create and use AI safely in a way that protects fundamental rights, health and safety,

  • Make informed decisions about AI systems in the specific context of your organisation.

We are also able to offer tailored AI literacy upskilling solutions upon request. A tailored approach is recommended for organisations that provide or deploy high-risk AI systems or general-purpose AI systems under the AI Act.

What benefits will AI compliance and a responsible approach to AI bring you?

01

New business opportunities

02

Faster and smarter innovations

03

Future-proofing of your organisation

04

Spotting risks and being accountable

What is the AI Act and what does it mean for your organisation?

The EU AI Act is a regulatory framework, which imposes requirements on AI systems to ensure they are safe. It is the first comprehensive framework to regulate AI in the world. It applies to AI provided, used or having an impact in the EU

The AI Act came into force in August 2024 and various requirements will need to be complied with as they become applicable over the coming months.

Everyone across the AI value chain will be affected. Providers (producers), deployers (users), manufacturers of products incorporating AI, as well as importers and distributors of AI will need to comply with the AI Act.

Requirements depend on the risk category of AI use cases. The greater the potential impact of the AI in the intended use case, the stricter the requirements. For example, AI used in a recruitment process can have greater impact on individuals and can, therefore, be subject to greater requirements. Requirements cover how AI is developed, deployed and used, as well as how it is monitored and maintained.

Compliance with the AI Act will require a holistic end-to-end AI governance framework that allows you to triage AI projects by risk category, implement the appropriate steps for compliance at the right time, record compliance steps in an auditable manner and continuously review and improve governance to reflect new regulatory developments.
