Nicol David Foundation

Empowering children to realise their full potential through sports

In March 2018, we were appointed by eight-time World Squash Champion Datuk Nicol David as the strategic advisor to establish the Nicol David Foundation. A first of its kind in Malaysia, the Foundation aims to promote sports as a vehicle to empower children. It also seeks to increase the participation of children in sports, instill positive values and provide them with knowledge and confidence. 

Our Consulting, Tax and Corporate Sustainability teams, led by Consulting Director, Paul Francis have worked with Datuk Nicol David on this pro-bono engagement programme for over 2 years to formulate the structure of the Foundation. 

In April 2020, we delivered on the following during a virtual handover meeting:

• Programme structure

• Tax structure

• Board governance structure and trustee framework

• Government and stakeholder engagement

• Selection and onboarding processes

We are proud to have played a part in helping Datuk Nicol David build her Foundation.
