Due to the spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19), which was declared a public health emergency by the World Health Organisation on 30 January 2020, PwC Vietnam (PwC) has implemented safeguards and taken additional steps to minimise its potential impact on our clients, employees and guests.

We have:

  • Directed our employees who have travelled to China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Schengen area and the UK or been in physical contact with anyone who has been to China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Schengen area and the UK in the past 2 weeks to work from home and monitor their health for 14 days;

  • Encouraged a heightened awareness of personal hygiene including the use of masks and hand sanitisers as appropriate;

  • Directed our people to leverage the use of technology for the conduct of internal events and/or meetings to the extent possible.

PwC’s safeguards:

Clients or guests visiting PwC offices in Vietnam

The Vietnamese Ministry of Health (MOH) advises that anyone who has travelled to China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Schengen area and the UK or has come into direct contact with a confirmed case of Covid-19 in the previous 14 days must isolate themselves and should monitor their health for 14 days from the date of departure or contact. We ask that our clients and guests follow this advice to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of our other clients and guests, our employees, and the public.

For clients or guests who have been to China or transited through Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, South Korea, Iran, Japan, Schengen area and the UK in the past 14 days, we ask that you advise your preferred PwC contact and conduct virtual meetings (rather than in-person meetings).

PwC provides hand sanitisers and masks in all offices to promote a healthy workplace, and we encourage visitors (and our employees) to adhere to normal handwashing and hygiene practices. If you are feeling unwell when visiting our offices, please make your PwC host aware so we can support you accordingly.

Working with clients to safeguard the health and safety of our people

PwC requests our clients to take their own measures to respond to Covid-19, in accordance with guidelines from MOH.

If you are an organisation with a suspected or confirmed case of Covid-19 and PwC clients or employees may be affected, we ask that you immediately notify your preferred PwC contact.
