Conducting studies for the National Fire and Rescue Service (procurement ID No. IeM VUGD 2020/45); Study on assessment of the Technical Service Board and on development of the machinery and repairs base (procurement ID No. IeM VUGD 2021/7).

Customer: National Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS)

In 2021, PwC worked with NFRS in addressing safety issues crucial for the public. At the customer’s request, PwC carried out five studies under two projects geared towards public safety awareness, energy efficiency, and infrastructure, as well as strengthening professional capacity.

The findings of the studies make it possible to:

  • Improve the technical condition of NFRS’s fleet in an environmentally friendly way
  • Create a new NFRS machinery and repairs base with modern equipment
  • Improve the theoretical and practical training processes at the Fire Safety and Civil Defence College (FSCDC) by carrying out its training facility development project
  • Develop an appropriate website and mobile app solution to promote public awareness of fire safety and appropriate response to emergencies
  • Set up safety classes for preventive measures to help people learn about safety matters in an attractive and interesting way

The studies also serve as a valuable tool to access financing from EU Structural Funds for further development.
