Elaine Ng

Elaine Ng is the Markets Leader at PwC Malaysia. She oversees clients and market segments and is responsible for elevating the firm's client penetration, market presence and win rates. She is currently a member of the firm’s leadership team.

Concurrently, Elaine leads the Risk Services practice at PwC Malaysia and PwC Vietnam. Risk Services provides trust and advisory services on information technology risk assurance, data and analytics, digital trust (including cybersecurity), governance, risk and control (GRC), internal audit and financial risk management. With over 30 years of experience, she has provided audit and business advisory services to a wide range of financial services clients in the banking and capital market in Malaysia. Her portfolio of clients includes commercial banks, investment banks, Islamic banks, pension fund bodies, asset management companies, rating companies and real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Currently, Elaine is the lead audit partner for two banking groups in Malaysia. Aside from audit, she has led several advisory engagements for a number of financial institutions in Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. Elaine also advises financial institutions on various cross-border acquisition transactions, IFRS implementation work, business process improvement, compliance risk assessment review, financial due diligence and accounting advisory.

Elaine holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Curtin University. She is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Elaine believes that to travel is to live. She makes it a point to take at least two holidays a year. Her past travel adventures have taken her on a trek up Mount Kinabalu, a month in Bhutan and retail jaunts overseas.
