Jennifer, is currently also the Financial Services Tax Leader in Malaysia.Her experience in Malaysia includes advising clients on tax matters relating to income tax, real property gains tax, stamp duty, service tax, applicable tax incentives and double tax treaties. She has also been extensively involved in numerous assignments for clients in the financial services and property sectors and her clients include Banks, Islamic Banks, Investment Banks, PE Funds, REITs, Unit Trust Funds and Fund Managers, as well as Property owners and developers. She has been involved in numerous structured finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring for inbound and outbound assignments.
Her working experience includes a few years in Australia where she was involved in audit, accounting, corporate secretarial, regulatory and tax work on a range of clients and entities including financial services entities, retirement funds, business trusts, pharmaceuticals, construction companies, hotels, trading companies, etc.
She also speaks regularly at public seminars on taxation of the financial services industry including Islamic banking, asset backed securitisation, International Tax, Labuan, etc.
Jennifer holds a degree in Economics from Monash University, Australia. She is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), a member of the Securities Institute of Australia (SIA) and International Fiscal Association.
