After a vigorous elimination process over several weeks, Be Da Ape from Sunway-TES (Sunway College) was declared as the winner of the first PwC Trust Builders Challenge. One of the team members, Arpan Chandra Sarker, also walked away with the Best Presenter (individual) award.
Meanwhile, Team Target from INTI International College Subang was named Runner-Up and jwt. from Sunway-TES (Sunway College) as Second Runner-Up.

Social media was the team's choice of ammunition to address the crisis of lost trust for the retailer. Transparency is key as shown in the use of real-time software and the International Labour Organisation (ILO)'s Labour Inspection System Application to monitor long working hours. Equally important, is getting suppliers to commit to being child labour free, through ISEAL certification.

'The devil is in the details' - the team sought to demonstrate this in addressing the problem. Firstly, for every issue, there are two sides to a coin. Also, trust and faith are two different things. There can be doubts in trust, but faith is blind trust. Regardless, both are the team's end goals.

To win trust, stakeholder engagement is crucial and you need to cover all the bases. The team mobilised the "peacekeepers" (representatives from the Labour Department and NGOs) to be the eyes and ears of the public. They also invested in a Supplier Ranking System Database to validate trust in their suppliers.
