We are excited to introduce Marcus Lam, our new Executive Chairman. Marcus brings a strong sense of purpose, strategic leadership and business insight. He will lead the firm to reinvent the future and bring to life our new strategy, The New Equation, to uncover solutions for our clients and wider society that deliver sustained outcomes and build trust for today and tomorrow.
With fundamental changes happening in the world, including technological disruption, climate change, fractured geopolitics, and the continuing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, building trust has neither been more important nor more difficult. The most significant challenges faced by clients and stakeholders can only be met through multi-disciplinary, diverse teams. In the coming years, Marcus will focus on bringing the best of our people, capabilities and technology together to find new, unconventional and innovative ways to solve the toughest problems faced by our clients and the wider society in today’s operating environment.
Grounded by purpose and values, Marcus is a 26-year veteran at PwC Singapore and served as our Assurance Leader for the past four years. During his tenure, the firm focused on building trust and transparency in the audit profession through focusing on audit quality and technological enablement. He has also been on PwC Singapore’s leadership team since 2016.

Outside of PwC, Marcus is active in contributing to the development of the accounting profession. He is a council member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and is a board member of the Accounting Standard Council Singapore. Passionate about education and giving back to the community, he also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governors, the Chairman of the Edusave Advisory Council under the Ministry of Education, and the Vice President of the Parkinson Society of Singapore.
We’d also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Oon Jin Yeoh for his invaluable commitment and leadership as our Executive Chairman for the past eight years. Oon Jin has driven significant transformation across PwC Singapore whilst focusing on our core of building trust and transparency. In addition to strengthening PwC’s consulting capabilities, Oon Jin led our firm’s digital transformation efforts - which includes upskilling all 3.500 of our people - and placed tremendous focus on building the right culture and values, and on the wellbeing of our people. Under his leadership, PwC Singapore has grown from strength to strength. Join us in wishing Oon Jin all the best in his future endeavors.
